Re-pricing options for mgmt. after a stock tanks (although common practice), is something I also have a hard time understanding. Kind of like changing the rules after the game has begun IMO. Seems to me there should already be plenty of incentive in place (ie, like responsibility to shareholders) to turn things around to make this company successful. Too bad share-holders can't re-price the shares they bought to get a refund from their broker. :-)
