Wasn't last time more unified though?

The thing that troubles me is the fact that the DOW and S&P indexes climb but down volume exceeds up volume by 4:1 or more. For awhile on Stock attack, someone was posting percentages of stocks above vs below 200 MA but stopped. My program won't do that. I am wondering if due to the weighting factor of the index, if 80% (random number) of stocks are at or below 200 day but index is still above if the bounce could occur. Today I believe that issues down were 160 something while gainers were only 44 on the NYSE.
