exchange2000.com ask Bill,he and Frank Veneroso appear to have great ears! I would believe the rumour..I think Japan is a proud nation and can't believe they wouldn't do anything for their self interest..rather than taking into consideration global consequences..on a positive or existential side at least they appear open about it :> (ps heard on the news somebody from state department talking about missile deal with China and she said something to the effect that it didn't pose a problem on US's security..interesting however she omitted that it could cause huge problem on India,Taiwan,etc..) went to a lecture at the Asia Society during the Gulf war...was shocked at the statements made by one Japanese government official when he didn't think it was a Japanese problem and said they could always buy oil elsewhere..he wasn't ashamed.. one of my nephews was working in Japan at the time..he said the news coverage was fascinating..only when there was news linked in some way to Japan was there any coverage..
