Or issue more stocks.

Time Traveler believes AMD's competitor really want to keep AMD's stock in between $15 to $20 a share. This way, no other company would be interested to buy out AMD, and AMD could not get any leverage on raising more capital to fuel more competition on the losing cause, of course.
