Clark,

While I agree with the reasons that you gave for the revenue decline at VLSI, I think the stock has been driven down in sympathy with other stocks in the SOX. VLSI should be trading at a much higher multiple than 1.3 x book and 1 x sales, especially when one compares the company's valuation to other companies in the SOX. It stands to reason that VLSI will recover with the SOX even though the reasons for the recovery do not directly affect them. In other words, if VLSI went down in sympathy with the SOX, then it should go up in sympathy with the SOX as well.

the rational view would be to agree with you...it shouldnt really effect VLSI. BUT, the rational view would have been that the stock never should have gone below 20 in the first place.

perception is reality these days, and burlap uses this to his advantage.
