Isn't it strange that King Druss did not respond to the sympathetic overtures made by the wolf?
But he told me he was hanging onto the ceiling because it was the only spot in the place that wasn't littered with empties.
Imagine: not appreciating someone, like yourself, who is attempting to
clean up various dumps.
Speaking of which, was there barbed-wire surrounding the throne outside and did he really have to pay homage to haggis to enter?

Vacationing in Arkansas--Day Three
The dogs here are giving me fits. The only one that hasn't tried to attack me is the odd creature that Lee claims is a dog (though he offers little proof of the assertion). Lee claims they can sense a Yankee and always attack such devils spawn. I am more skeptical of their sensory ability. They always seem to come from down wind so I suspect I have some sort of alien smell about me. Haven't figured out what it is, I have been eating the same things as Lee (we had blackened catfish last night) and Lord knows I have been drinking as much.
The local dogs are of two types, a smaller breed normally the size Australian shepherds trained to stand in the rear windows of pickup trucks and a larger breed bred to take on the fiercest creatures to be found locally. Since the fiercest creatures near the typical Arkansan are his neighbors the larger breed is about size and temperment of a rabid grizzly.
Lee has been a lot of help in dealing with them though. Normally he stands back a bit and offers me tactical advice and observations such as "I'd run faster if I was you." and "Damn Druss! Look at the teeth on this one."
The only place I am safe outdoors is at Lee's house. With the Wolf around I don't think a Tyrannasaur would step on the place or survive the experience if it did. Even with the Wolf gone I think dogs avoid the place instinctively due to Lee's dog. That thing seems to carry the majority of afflictions Pandora released on the world.
Lee and I are heading to the White River today to try for some trout. On the way we stop in Mountain Home which proclaims itself 'Folk Music Capital of the World'. The full impact of this doesn't sink in on us and we stop and go into a liquor store to replenish our beer supply as Lee's cooler only holds a case and we drank that in the half hour drive getting there. As we start in we are ambushed by a small group led by a woman with a banjo. We didn't see her until we got too close, far too close. She lets out a yowl like a scalded tom cat. God help us its Bluegrass music! We are routed from the scene.
We spend the next hour listening to the Rolling Stones, Doors, and James Gang trying to recover. We were very close to over dose.
