Prism translates Internet content on the server side for use by wireless devices. It will be one of the products marketed and sold through a new agreement between Spyglass and Lucent Technologies (LU). "We think that if anyone is going to be connecting to the Internet from a non-PC consumer device, they are going to in some way be doing it through Spyglass products," says Mr. Kunzog. According to International Data Corporation estimates, 89 million non-PC devices will be connected to the Internet by 2001, which seems to be exactly what LaSalle Securities is counting on ...snip!...
