To ALL

I have enjoyed spending time on this thread, but I will no longer be particiapting in your "discussions". The tone and tenor have degenerated into a free for all where there is no longer any desire to learn and exchange disparate philosophies, but to just win an arguement. I wish you all the best of luck in finding whatever answers you are looking for.

Good Luck
Mark

Chris,

I do thank you for your concerns about my eternal destiny. Personally, I regard tales of wrath, torment and lakes of fire to be the stuff of childrens nightmares. I enjoy life on earth very much and if there is any existence after death, which I highly doubt, I'm sure I will enjoy that, too. <g>

I do not fear God, but if he/she/it exists, meeting him/her/it will be a wonderful experience to contemplate. Perhaps my main disagreement with the Judeo/Christian perspective is the concept of Original Sin. I don't buy it. I view humans as being inherently good, for the most part. The thought of everyone being born a sinner with a propensity towards evil is really sad. There is much joy and goodness to experience in life without saddling oneself with that irrational burden.

Regards, JB
