Bob,
I think your scenario is pretty well on target except that you may want
to think about a 6 month+ delay for the start of a sustainable upturn,
IMO, till mid/late '99. Economic recoveries take time to get the
momentum going in the same direction, and we have yet to see the
bottom in Japan/Korea/China.

I canceled my limit order for KLIC this morning. I will buy soon however. Just remember: When the situation looks the darkest as if there is no end to the madness, it is usually time to buy. KLIC is also been labelled the "yellow canary". It will be the first to fall but the first to recover. Watch for more pre-announcements by bigger names.
