no chris
the ONLY reason I got hammered was because of my exits and my typical shortcoming when it comes to trading
its always the EXIT with me

so there was ALOT of money to be made on the short side

but some people are more comfortable waiting for the downdraft and THEN playing it to the upside
but you still have the problem on the flip side
you have to have your EXIT before the market tanks again

and this is a CONSTANT struggle with me

Look at the NASDAQ to see how the public speculator is trading in the market. There are allot of bargain hunters out there. Too bad the stock market is not like the "garage sale" some seem to think it is. Many have nothing to relate this market to that would provide them a much clearer picture. So they relate it to what they are familiar with: deep discounted products for sale.
