Chris, All -

I was curious about some of the reports on HiFD coming out of PC Expo. A demonstration of HiFD running video clips shows that the drive can do sequential reads at a specific speed. But what I want to know is:

1 - Have they got the full 200MB capacity working? I heard reports from Comdex that they showed a prototype which had a max capacity of 40MB.

2 - What about backward compatibility? I also heard that the Comdex prototype wasn't yet capable of reading/writing to 1.44MB floppies.

Chris, I'm not slamming the product. I'm just asking questions for information.
