Yamana Resources Inc - Equity offering withdrawn Yamana Resources Inc YRIShares issued 273169901998-06-18 close $0.96Friday Jun 19 1998Mr. Victor Bradley reports Yamana Resources, due to global market conditions, has withdrawn its previously announced equity financing. In Stockwatch April 23, 1998 Yamana announced that it had filed a preliminary short form prospectus with provincial securities commissions in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta in connection with an offering of units consisting of common shares and warrants of the company. Yamana is pursuing other options concerning both financing alternatives and potential business arrangements. With continued fiscal restraint, Yamana has sufficient funds to take it into the new calendar year. At the same time, the company is examining a number of avenues which will allow it to bolster exploration efforts at its recent high-grade silver discoveries at Santa Cruz Vanguardia, Argentina where the company still plans to conduct diamond-core drilling beginning in September.
