Robert,

IMO, The stock has already responded to this. See below:

It appears that the story finally hit London and was deceptive
written (intentionally, I can't say).

June 5, 1998

Shares of AT&T and America Online jumped today on rumors that the long-distance
giant will buy the online services provider. It's not the first time Wall Street traders have
talked about such a deal. Speculation resurfaced again today because of the heated
merger activity across the telecommunications sector, especially with the mergers of
Tellabs (TLAB) and Ciena (CIEN) Wednesday, and DSC (DIGI) and Alcatel (ALA)
today, says Art Hogan, a trader at Jeffries & Co.

"Everyone is racing to be the one-stop shop in providing all kinds of services, from long
distance and cellular to Internet access -- at the best price," Hogan says. "Ma Bell has
never had to compete before, and now it's the stock of the '90s to watch," he says.

Good Luck,
Joe

Rob, didn't sell out, just sold some of my position and am happy with the profit that I made. I still have a ways to go before I liquidate all my holdings...and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
