You're absolutely right, I think P-Pro is the only way to got at this point. With Xeon prices expected to be at $2800 for ONE 400 MHz/1MB cache chip, I could build 3 or 4 Quad CPU P-Pro worktations for the price on one Quad Xeon worktation.

The other option would be to get 2 Dual PII systems and split the task between them (not an ideal solution). I wish the Dec Alpha had more software support(mainly 3D S Max), a Dual Alpha would knock the socks off any quad pentium.
