I concurr.. way too fast, and we are seeing that for now the highs arent going to be revisited.

Although after 4 EST, anything can happen..

I tend to be biased to the downside.

That put isnt going to hit...

The market players that have purchased PUTs have effectively defined a "floor" or hedge for any upside activity they choose to pursue. So when they see a bottom, they can jump in and go long. Hedge funds are big option players and are known to do this. Remember this type of market rebound in the not so distant past also in a falling market? This is one of the many influences that options can have on the market, in particular index options.
