This guy doesn't have a clue.
I don't see why AMZN could not be as good as YHOO, or even better.
AMZN sells books and CDs. What does YHOO sell ?
Ads ? AMZN could sell those too. One day when people
always go to AMZN to buy books and CDs, companies will
pay AMZN money to put their ads on AMZN's webpagess.

Who made this statement?

Glenn

It does not take a genius to figure out. AMZN can do whatever they want. Whatever they do they have to incur COST which is usually more than the other experienced companies which are in their core business. Yes, they have a good PR but they are not good in handling their operation. They have not even turned profit in one operation, they already want to do other thing. There is no FOCUS. I always think that we have to go to the SOURCES. If we want to open a bookstore, CD or video stores (it does not matter whether on line or traditional,) we have to know the operation to turn profits.
Give me a break, they want be like YHOO. But I can't under estimate AMZN, the stock may go up if they declare that they are into search engine. Then, the analysts would revise its earning estimate again, lower its earning or increase its loss estimate. So there will be a never-ending hyped stock and never-ending hope. Also, I can't underestimate AMZN if it uses its currency(little salary but plenty of stocks option which they can cash in at the open market) to pay salaries for its innovative officers and employees so they can cut its operational expenses to manipulate its earning.

I think AMZN should be in the PR business, business consulting how to increase the company stock price without being a profitable company. The only thing I am afraid of AMZN is its ability to manipulate which we have no control over.
Even they are successful in those multi businesses, the stock price has been factored in.

Again, we can't fight the market, it is always right. I don't know what to do with it.

Good Luck to all of you.
