I don't clearly remember who the talking head was who had the piece on La Nina. I think I remember, but I was probably half asleep at the time. Anyway, he was full of it. While there has been some drop in Pacific Ocean temperatures, it is no La Nina yet yet.

So far, El Nino is very much in force in North Florida. Smoke from forest fires has hung heavy in the air since they erupted last week during days of strong winds. Now the air is still and starting at 8:00AM each day, the air fills with smoke. That is OK because winds don't spread the flames.

First it was Indonesia that burned, then Central America. We even had smoke in the air that came from Central America. Now it is Florida's turn to burn. Ironically, during our normal dry season, we were flooded. Now when it is supposed to rain, it won't.
