Most Western countries have greater problems with socialism than Russia or other former "declared socialist" countries. They discover how bad it is to have any trace of that secret hegemony, so they know they have to avoid it at all costs. On the other hand the West is still enamored with it. It is Samuelson's mixed economy imperative. Read mixed up economy. A little capitalism, a little socialism, and everyone is happy. That might work in the cobweb lined mental pathways of Harvard denizens, but it never has and never will work out in the world. Idealism isn't even good for the mind, because it is pure prejudice and causes you to make all the wrong moves.
