Mark, Since Astra is traded on the NYSE is it not in their own interest for Astra shareholders to believe that Astra will market and sell well in their territory? Unless Astra would want to see a low price for a hostile take over (and I don't know if there is a provision preventing this in the marketing contract) it would appear to me that it is in the best interest of Astra to prevent the same type of "viagra perception" from ocurring in their territories.

Mark, Looking at the script numbers gives me the following impression: Before Viagra came out MUSE was the first choice of treatment for ED cases thus the consistant new script rate of 9,000 to 11,000. Since Viagra came out it appears that refills are still holding ok but very new scripts are being written. I can only make 2 possible conclusions: 1)Viagra has been close to 100% effective in these men coming in for first time treatment or 2)For Viagra failures to go back to their doctors (especially PCPs) and admit that they are not only impotent but also a failure on the miracle pill is going to take a bit longer than we expected. Edderd who is in the front lines feels that 2 is most likely and that script numbers will climb but only slowly.
