Green Oasis Environmental, Inc. Permit Approved To Increase Production PR Newswire - June 17, 1998 15:56 CHARLESTON, S.C., June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Oasis Environmental, Inc. (OTC: GRNO), announced today that the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) Bureau of Air Quality has approved permit applications and construction permits to be effective June 20, 1998 and modifications to increase the used oil input capacity of the Charleston, South Carolina plant to 1,000 gallons per hour. The modifications include a larger distillation column, reflux pumps, a larger thermal oxidizer and additional heat exchanger tubes. The plant was permitted to operate at 250 gallons per hour and designed to operate at 400 gallons per hour. The construction permit was issued June 5, 1998 and includes conditions under subpart NNN, therefore these requirements will be removed from the DHEC permit. EPA on June 9, 1998 ruled that the process does not fall under subpart NNN and also clarified the process as "A Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturing Industry (SOCMI) Distillation Operation" therefore Section 29 Tax Credits should apply to the Charleston plant at the increased operating capacity. William D. Carraway, President of the Company, stated, we are delighted that the permitting and testing process is now in place for the technology after years of expense and delays. Modifications to the Charleston plant to increase production to 1,000 gallons per hour are estimated to cost $500,000 and the order time for components is 16 weeks. Due to the Company's current capital position modifications to the Charleston plant which is 49% owned by the Company have not been scheduled. Green Oasis patent-pending process is designed to produce marketable fuels from waste oils in a closed cycle, one step process. The Company manufactures equipment for its own use as well as markets worldwide. SOURCE Green Oasis Environmental, Inc. /CONTACT: William D.
