William, I have been watching central banks for twenty years and nothing ever is obvious ;) There is a big question in my mind of wether the Fed and other central banks will co operate with the politicians desire to trade inflation for deflation. We will learn more in coming weeks. However if forced to make a choice now I would have to agree that long term holdings should be adjusted to benefit from an eventual return of inflation. I would, however, prefer energy and basic commodities to precious metals. Henry
