Hi don, all.. long day indeed.. my God.. I hounded TDFX all day and finally received a call from a very exhausted sounding David Zacarias. I enjoy talking to folks other than i/r peoples like Laura (lots of TDFX folk on vacation) because they dont know how to hand you the typical ir rhetoric. First question of course was regarding an earnings warning. Too late for that. If they were going to miss their numbers it would have already been announced. Although he did make a comment to the effect that although their not certain exactly where they will end up for the quarter, they are certain that all projections will be met as stated in the shareholders meeting. Banshee will be introduced next week which surprised me- is this new news or is this common knowledge already? He mentioned the article from Game Center but as the rest of us already knew, it was a seriously biased write up. in other words, not important. I have spoken to a LOT of folks over the years and will say that reading between the lines is very easy. Nothing in his answers implied to me in any way/shape/form that anything was materially wrong, and that once again we are the victim of a market that continues to defy reason. As far as todays perfomance.. lets speculate a bit here. DLJ gave CREAF a buy a few weeks back. A few short days later, CREAF had to provide 'guidance' to analyst due to earnings shortfall.. TDDDF again at one point today was on the biggest decliners list just behind TDFX. DIMD was downgraded yesterday and took a huge hit because of it. Nobody trusts TDFX at this point and thus another freefall. Just as I expected, no shorts ran to the exit to cover because they too felt that surely news was going to be released. If you look at after hours trading, a few blocks were bought at 18 3/8 about a 1/2 hour after the close. David stated there will be NO negative news to be released. Fine. We need a rally back above $20 by tomorrow regardless of what the market does. The longer we sit here, the worst the situation will get. Im expecting a tremendous move up above $25 in the next week or 2 at most and will avoid exposing myself to all the rumors running on the yhoo thread. the market is DEAD WRONG about TDFX, and we all probably will agree that the folks with the money as well as the analyst that guide them are dumber than wood. Let them sell and buy AMZN, YHOO, and than when they decide to collapse those companies theyll come back here.
