OK, things could be turning in ASIA, so why is the SOX down today?
My thinking was that the SOX would turn if and when Asia turned. I would expect a divergence from the dow and the s&P as an Asian recovery would lead to increase bond yields and lower equity prices as the "flight to quality" stopped, and the threat of too hot an economy pressured bonds further. I would expect the SOX to return to thrive in this scenario.

I really was expecting that and exactly the opposite happened. I know it is early, but I don't think KLIC's warning was enough to tank the SOX.

someone explain the error of my thinking.
