Mr. Patience: Well stated. Like I said in the post that preceded yours, PNL is ahead of the curve, not behind it. As more businesses and industries embrace Internet commerce, as they already are, PNL will be more and more valuable and the quality of their database will improve because of the quality of the contributions by companies to that database will improve. The Search Reports will immediately be enhanced once more links to company homepages are provided. These links in tandem with the D&B info will provide the info required to make an assessment of a potential partner. Once the additional steps are made to evaluate the partner (contacting via phone or email), PNL's additional services (forms, tariff information, currency conversion) will facilitate transactions by saving time dealing with all the paperwork distractions that are the irksome side of conducting a business. So in that context, what does PNL cost? . If PNL saves me less than three hours of time, I have paid for PNL because that represents less than three hours of my billable rate. If PNL generates one contract, that contract pays for PNL at least ten times. If PNL saves me 25 cents on an item I purchase because I use that item ten thousand times, PNL has saved me money by providing me with a new less expensive supplier. Anyone who runs a business looks at the "real" cost. As you noted in business you look for whatever can help you simplify and expand business, any person who has actually run a business realizes that PNL as conceived has the potential to be such an useful tool. Personally, I hope PNL offers a second free trial to companies once they are finished with phase 2 so that companies can make a better assessment of whether or not PNL will live up to its conceived potential when more of its features are in place. Furthermore, I concur with you, dd takes time and research, unless someone has some ulterior motive (shorting, reporting to the SEC, et cetera) or is an investor, why spend so much time rehashing the same arguments or taking other people's words out of context? Doesn't seem rational especially when that person is making his contributions to SI on someone else's dime. Anyone I employ who used his time not on work in such a way wouldn't be employed very much longer. But then again maybe they do things differently in LA. ztect
