George--- DEC is not yet ready for a eulogy. The name may soon not be used but will be around longer than we are. The products of the people that worked for DEC will be around longer than the people. The ideas that bore fruit will continue and some of those that did not may have laid a base that may be used in the future for another product under the CPQ name. When an only child is a daughter gets married she takes on another name --- a father does not love her less (mine used a hyphen to appease me without a word from :-] me). Dec will not be forgotten until long after we are. A eulogy will never be required for DEC as most of it will live on through CPQ, stronger and more viable. Always admired DEC, bought DELL products, and keep/trade CPQ stock --- strange world today!
