It is more likely that it is simply that SEEK has already run a long ways.

There was a lot of speculation late last week that SEEK would be a takeover target by "traditional media". As the week wears on, it appears that this speculative fever has died down as AOL and the other search engines take the spotlight. Seek has also run ~10 points and has more shares outstanding.
