Asia's LAN Market Shrinks As Economies Slide - IDC

(NB) -- By Steve Gold, Newsbytes. As the
Japanese yen slides and other Far Eastern woes
cause analysts to start talking opening of a
Western stock market slump, International Data
Corp. (IDC) has added its voice to the fray with
research predicting a slide in the Asia/Pacific
local area network (LAN) marketplace.

Newsbytes notes that the most adversely
affected markets were Indonesia (-34 percent),
Thailand (-31 percent), Malaysia (-27 percent),
and Korea (-25 percent).
