Dale,

Yes, it is a tough market for everyone. Lots of people have never experienced anything like that which they are now going through. Strangely enough, my newsletter is doing great. Believe it or not it has experienced about 500% per annum growth for each of the last two years as measured by number of subscribers. I guess people understand just how lousy an environment it has been in these speculative sectors...

Sure, I wish I had bought my Unitec stock here at $0.25 instead of the the $0.40 I paid. Who knew? As much as I have been thinking that short term strategies are all that matters during a bear market, I'm still thinking of my Unitec holdings as a piece of my long term core portfolio. I put it out of my mind from day to day and look one or two years ahead to a time when the company's revenues could be substantially higher than today; when the insiders who have recently been turfed don't have any more stock with which to flood the market; and when the speculative markets are rebounding.

I keep hoping that Unitec's progress and successes will be focused on - instead of the roadblocks they have faced. The recent shakeup has given me more faith than ever in John Smythe who I think showed a lot of courage in seizing tighter control. It shows a certain maturation of the company as a whole.

Thanks for you good luck wishes.., but you know what? I think that things are turning a corner even now and that by the end of the year we will be looking fondly back at this time as an opportunity to load up. I just wish my wife would give me some more allowance to spend...
