OT **********Some more shorting information Following is a response I received on some of my questions. I think I will investigate further for my own understanding. If anybody has any reference material or websites please advise Clarifications: A Canadian account need not deposit $2.50. A U.S. MM must. It is an S.E.C. rule. A Canadian short must be executed through a U.S. MM. This may or may not create a short in the MM. But your understanding that only Canadians can short OTC:BB is incorrect. U.S. accounts cannot short a stock whose price is under $0.50, and Canadians can.
