ATT is trying to get AOL. If the deal down, I think MCI-WorldCom may try to get one of the big service players in internet sector. It may be Yahoo. Other telecoms may go for Excite and Infoseek. For Netscape, the long-termed rumor was Oracle or Sun Microsytems to take over it. All of them are struggling against MicroSoft. Since the rumor, Netscape went up and down following Oracle's moving. The prices of Oracle never reached its fair value since then. Oracle had tried to build its own browser but never bring it into the market. If Oracle won't make itself an internet player by the end of this year, the Street may throw it into the trash tank (becoming penny stock, just my jocking) like what Sybase and Infomix have been treated. Anyway, Netscape indeed need a big partner to make its dream come true. Good luck!
