There's trouble in the air. You don't have to make money. Sometimes you just have to stay away. Let the trouble blow through. If you do that you are psychologically prepared to take advantage of market swings. Let's say everything works out fine. The good companies will rise and the bad will fall anyway. There is always something new and better to buy. Never think you've missed anything. Think, you have cash and that gives you flexibility. It also accomplishes the number one objective of money management: preservation of capital.
