>> Does VLSI pay IPR to qcom or not?

I don't know. I'm sure they would avoid it if they could ...

Sidebar question : Will the VLSI IPR payment (per ASIC) compensate QCOM for the presumed loss of a sale of an equivalent QCOM ASIC? I doubt it.

I'm probably grossly oversimplifying, and setting myself up for a flame, but additional competition only helps QCOM in an expanding market. Yes/No?

QCOM's Asian Markets have to be considered unreliable. Yes/No?

Is the US market expansion alone sufficient to keep earnings in line with expectations? Keep in mind that this question is only relevent for next year and beyons, when VLSI offer their chip in production quantities. I understand that LSI's chip will be available in about the same timeframe.
