A chartist on CNBC mentioned recently that by August, we very well may be headed for a bear market, having reached a top just a shot while ago. This was mentioned a day or so before today's rebound. Barton Biggs today gave his typically bearish view on the market, saying that the US help for Japan economy would fail, and the US market would be right back where it started and worse before the rebound today.

How does a chartist see us heading to a bear market? If we do, what happens to CPQ? This is concerning me quite a bit.

John,
If you think cable is fast get a load of LMDS. It will be interesting to see the news when it is deployed in the future. Does wireless telephony, high speed internet, and wireless cable TV. Economic only in large population centers. Think it is the real reason Notel bought Bay.

Too early to tell if technology will really take off.

Cable modems are coming. I had one when I was in temp housing, I downloaded a 1MB file in about 10 seconds.

It's nice.

Sorry for being off topic.

CPQ ain't doing so bad when you compare it to other companies, besides the ones that are jumping $5.00 per day at rediculous levels.
