Sony seems to care. They made a killing on it the first time around and seem to be trying to get back in the game for the second generation.

Why all the fuss about being the standard floppy? Maybe there's a lot of money in it for the winner. Seem's like an awful lot of money is being spent pursuing it.

I guess you think the strategic planners at both companies have got it all wrong. I'm sure all the blacksmiths were laughing at the grease monkeys at one time.
