So far you are more or less factually correct except that the code itself is not error correcting -- enzymes are required for the correction and they get it wrong as often as they get it right. And 3 billion nucleotide pairs depends on the source of the DNA. Some are much shorter and some are longer. Also, there are considerably more than 100,000 proteins. But a more important criticism than that kind of factual quibbling is that there is a teleology embedded in the explication:

A digital language requires context; conventions external to the code itself. An effective digital code demands careful, skillful design.

Wrong! this is backward thinking. The assumption is made (with no evidence) that the existence of a code is per se evidence of design. No geneticist woul ever make a statement like that. It reminds me of the famous Dr. Pangloss in Candide who opined that the reason we had noses was so that we could support spectacles.

I would suggest that if you want to learn about biology you pick up a college level text and read it. Whatever source you are quoting is putting a spin on facts that is unwarranted. And if you want to learn about evolution, try one of the major works on the subjest, like Ernst Mayr's "Animal Speciation", or perhaps one of the original thinkers Darwin's "Origin of Species". Secondary sources are full of misinformation and misinterpretation because they tend to have political or religious agendas.
