if i was a trading the yen, and then got my butt kicked
because the govt intervened, followed by a statement
that said we will intervene as necessary, i wouldn't
be in a hurry to test their intervention again.

i was very sorry to see the intervention, i was short
the market overnight and the opening hurt a lot.
the biggest loss i've ever had. makes me seriously
question what i am doing.

now i'm long individual stock options. i read LEH and
MWD , lehman bros and morgan stanley announce
earnings soon, and bought calls on them and others...
does anyone know when the earnings for these
are announced?

Ande, I agree with your view of the intervention. I heard on the news last night that in April, Japan spent $20 billion trying to prop up the Yen. Did that work? No. Will this, beyond the very short term that is? No.
