Alan, I to have been interested in the USGAs decision and Callaway. Here is some additional info on Callaway that you may already know but someone new to the company might find of interest. Callaway Golf Company(ELY)is the dominant designer and marketer of golf equipment. At the start of this year it was #1 in woods, #2 in irons and since its recent acquisition of Odyssey Putters #1 in putters(i'm not sure if these rankings have changed thru the first half of this year.) In addition, a clothing line with the Callaway name is produced and sold by Nordstroms. Callaway has a established brand name,basically no debt, around 50% gross margins and earnings that are growing around 17% a year. Estimates say they should generate $500 million in free cash flow over the next 4 years. Management is one of the best in the golf equipment business,they have the best research and design capability and one of the most efficient manufacturing processes(if not the best.) I haven't looked at the companies financial statements in depth yet or there SEC fillings as of late but I will be. Thanks for the news release I had not seen it yet. Joe P.S.
