Billy,
Is this the gem of the year? What I mean by that is in Hawaii they had a pinkish looking gem that was extremely expensive in 1995.It was relatively new and it wasn't coral. It had an opaqeness to it that coral does not have. The more expensive jewellers in Maui were saying it was the gem to replace diamonds big time. I need your expertise. One ring,1/2 carat was I think around 16,000.00U.S..My lady wanted to try it on and I wouldn't even let her breathe around it.I thought it resembled beautifully polished and cut seven-up pop bottle. But what do I know about jewellery other than every time I buy it, it costs me money then and alot more money later on.(Divorced) :?)
I would be interested to learn more. Any sites you can recommend or URL's???

Thank you Billy!

Just so I get my other terms right. I assume overburden is loose soil/gravel on top of the target level of material one is after? If I am incorrect please correct me. Also, what is alluvial?

Thanks Billy.
