You don't need to fool D&B, they report what you tell them. The only investigative independent work D&B does is corporate filings such as UCC's, lien and judgement searches, litigation searches, etc. The only other data they report on is trade credit and experience. All other information is provided by the company. You could have a D&B for a dog named Bruno. They are not investigators, regulators, or industry professionals so don't fool yourself. D&B is incredibly reputable but does not preport to be anything more than a REPORTING service. It is basically the business version of TRW.
