In Frankfurt MO trades currently at 68.8 marks equals 38.54$. I think MO will open over 40$ in New York, therefore it is a possibility to take the fees into account and to load up in Frankfurt.

I think the uncertainty is not out and a bill will pass sometime. Everybody wants to see the money from tobacco.

But today was a milestone in history, because the sky is not the limit anymore for anti-tobacco. The risk for the companies is now limited to a level somewhere below the McCain bill. If the bill passes after the elections the public will not be interested anymore in it and the phrases of protecting the children will have not much influence on peoples mind anymore. So, I think from today we will have a continous moderate increase over the next months.
Another point if the economy cools down near term, the jobless issue will have an important impact on public opinion. It will be more difficult to take into account the job destruction in the tobacco industry for the government.

I am optimistic!
