[ Selling puts as an entry strategy ]

I'm sure this has been discussed on the thread before but could someone give their opinion/experience on using puts as an entry strategy to own a stock prior to CC'ing.

I've been a CC seller for three years but only on a single stock that I own through vested options. I'm about to purchase other companies to sell CC's against from cash raised and liquidation of my primary holding. It seems that I can use the selling of puts to gain the same amount of income with the potential of never using my cash which will be gaining interest at the same time and at some point actually have the shares put to me that I wanted in the first place.

Thnx Mike
