Letter From Eric Marchant, Chairman/CEO Dynamic Information Systems & eXchange, Inc. (DISX)
OREM, Utah, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The following letter is being issued by Eric Marchant, Chairman/CEO Dynamic Information Systems & eXchange:
''Dear Shareholders/Investors: There continues to be a strong and growing interest in the background and future strategies of Dynamic Information System and eXchange, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DIXS - news). In response to this interest I would like to take this opportunity to briefly review with you certain key elements of the Company's business model and strategy.
''COMPANY OVERVIEW
''Dynamic Information System & eXchange, Inc. (DiSX) is a public company incorporated in the state of Utah. It was formed as an information company in 1993 to address the strong and growing need in the multi-billion dollar employment information industry for a single source information provider -- one that collects, organizes and makes readily accessible all professional level employment information in a given geographic area.
''Since 1993, DiSX has used more than $4 million in equity capital to develop 'proprietary' software, systems and procedures to be able to create the largest and the best employment information databases in any targeted city, or region, and do it faster and better than anyone else. Such proprietary gathering, organizing and formatting processes combine to ensure the quality and comprehensiveness of the Company's information products and give DiSX a distinct competitive advantage as an information company in the employment market.
''DiSX PRODUCTS
''TOPjobs USA(TM) is the Company's 'help wanted' database product. With more than 50,000 current job postings for professionals, managers and technical specialists, it is the largest and best database of professional jobs in the United States. The Company promotes this 'help wanted' database product to job seekers through joint venture partnerships with local ABC, CBS and NBC television and radio affiliates. Together they create local Career Centers located at the station's web site. DiSX provides the database technology and content for the centers while the stations promote the centers to their respective audiences. Revenue comes from selling 'help wanted placement' and 'banner advertisements' to employers and recruiters. Access to the TOPjobs USA database can be achieved through the Internet at www.topjobsusa.com, or through a growing number of television and radio station web sites (www.ksl.com, www.kgtv.com, www.kmgh.com and www.klas- tv.com).
''The 'Directory of Recruiting Employers(TM)' is a database of employers who have recently advertised management, professional or technical specialist job openings. DiSX sells this contact information to professional recruiters and executive search firms as soon as the 'help wanted' database is developed in a given area. These recruiters and search firms use the database in their own marketing and sales processes when calling on employers. Sales of the 'Directory of Recruiting Employers' enable DiSX to create database products at a profit and without waiting for joint venture partnerships to be established.
'''Directory' sales precede and lay the foundation for the eventual rollout of the TOPjobs USA database products in any given market. Also, 'Directory' sells will not be limited to an established TOPjobs USA market, but can be effected nationwide. As nearly as DiSX management can determine, there is no competing database to the 'Directory' in the recruiting marketplace at this time. Access to the 'Directory of Recruiting Employers' can be achieved through www.employersusa.com.
''MARKET SIZE AND POTENTIAL
''Each year employers in the United States pay an estimated $6 to $10 billion to have their job openings advertised to the public. Until recently, this revenue has gone mostly to local and regional newspapers. But today, more and more employers are paying to place 'help wanted ads' electronically on the World Wide Web, making the Internet the fastest growing market segment of the recruitment advertising industry.
''To take advantage of this significant market transition, DiSX is partnering with local television and radio stations to create and promote Internet career centers. Now, employers can pay to have their 'help wanted postings' placed at the station's web site, and the station will promote it. The Company currently has joint venture contracts with four television and one radio station. The Company has targeted fifteen television markets for its TOPjobs USA products during 1998. There are more than 200 such markets in the United States and each market has an average earnings potential of $500,000 annually from advertising employers.
''The 'Directory of Recruiting Employers' will be available for sale in July of this year. Initial sales will be targeted at Recruitment and Executive Search firms in the current TOPjobs USA joint venture markets. Future 'Directory' sales, however, can be carried out anywhere in the United States and will lay the foundation for other product sales. Estimated national market size is $20 million annually.
''The Company projects total revenues in 1998 to be $750,000 with negligible earnings.
''As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DiSX, I would like to thank you for your continued support.
