MIDL has legal representation in the Bahamas. They are expediously pursuing the legal actions there.

While I really don't have a broad knowledge of hiding money, I can tell you that the Bahamas is not really the best place to do it. I believe, at one time, that it was, however, things have changed. No longer can a criminal escape to the Bahamas and avoid extradition. Likewise, I would think that the money is also returnable to US Authorities. The Bahamian government became much more dependent on US aid after Hurricane Andrew, and I believe that is when the tides started changing, so to speak, and the Bahamian government became more cooperative.

Fisher could have gone a couple of hundred miles farther, and made a clean getaway. We should be thankful that we were on what appears to be the tail end of his crime spree, when he started getting sloppy.
