So far as I know there are no securities laws that require management to guide analysts. It may not be good policy but it is certainly not illegal to ignore analysts. So where is the rock solid case against KE and others for not making an exception to their long standing policy of not giving analyst guidance.

Current management has stated an expected loss for last Q, this Q, and possibly the next with a return to profitability in the last Q. What do you want from them? An exact play by play projection of how they intend to unfold the future? So they can be sued if it doesn't play out exactly as stated?

And there were plenty of mills pretty proud of themselves for having a large market share in wagon wheels. I wonder how much Harvey Firestone was scoffed at.
