Joseph,
On Ascot, a kimberlite may not necessarily yield gem quality diamonds. It is a step up from just finding kimberlite indicator minerals. Caution is advised as usual.

Ascot's price went up in mid January 1998. The only released news nearby was Babine Lake. The diamond project did not surface until February. It is unclear to what the price reaction referred to.

Mr. Maris referred to a few new properties they were looking at. Financing these were talked about also. What exactly will be released is unclear. If Maris had told me it would not be news anymore.

Whether directors read SI, I believe they do. Why the interest?
