Bob,

In Genesis 5:7 God says ".....sin is crouching at the door; and it's desire is for you, but you must master it."

I'm not sure of all the things that the Bible describes as sinful. Perhaps you can enlighten me with a list. Telling lies, cheating, stealing, hurting people, and other such activities are sins in my book. I have no need to master such urges because I feel no propensity to perpetrate them. I don't know if the Golden Rule is in the Bible, but I find that following it is a very positive way to approach life.

If finding joy in life, pride in accomplishment, enjoyment of sexual expression, freedom of thought, and rejection of dogma are sins, then I'll happily admit to being a sinner, with a clean conscience and no desire to "master" said activities.

Regards, JB
