So I take it that 3dfx/Voodoo already has established itself as THE 3D brand name in Europe too? I have looked through 1 or 2 of the British PC game magazines available on newstands here in the U.S. and that was the impression I got.

TDFX in Europe

I agree with Ralph. In Germany 3Dfx-Boards are rarely available.
During the last weeks that got better. But especially the 12MB-boards
are often sold out. Boards are even more expensive than in the USA.
I think TDFX will be much better positioned than Riva's TNT at Xmas.
3Dfx is a brand name in Germany, too.

Peter

Re: Time to market advantage

You said:
It almost took two years that the Syjet drive was available in shops whereas the JAZ-drive could be bought in every supermarket.
Once a product is established competitors have a very difficult task to bring their products to market here.
