I think this is probably a non-event. Micron is widely rumoured to soon buy Texas Instr's DRAM business.

Kobe would be essentially switching their DRAM alliance from Texas Instruments to Texas Instruments ne Micron Technology.

Pat, if I remember accurately, which is a coin toss.. MU hasn't yet made comparable next generation memory manufacturing committments. The TXN buy, in part, solves that problem at a discount in the current pricing environment... I think its a good move for them. Being in the memory business at this juncture is another question.
