If VVUS were to play this card, I think the stock would jump up to around fifteen in a couple of days for two reasons, especially if it was with a big marketer (like Merck or J&J). 1) The street's big grip with Mngmt. is their inability to market. I think they have done very well producing product. Although their failure to inform the Street of their production shortful wasn't the greatest move, their decision to cut production was very justified. So, shift this responsibility to another party with a solid reputation and watch out. 2) Having the confidence and the backing of a major player will give a lot of comfort to shareholders, both current and prospective. Who know what will happen, but I think this is more likely than selling the company. JMHO. Colby
