It may be too early to respond. Have to read the agrement in detail. But here is what I am referring to:

In addition to TI's memory assets, Micron will receive $750 million in financing from TI
to facilitate the deployment of Micron's technology throughout the business. Micron and
TI have also agreed upon a 10-year royalty-free semiconductor patent cross-license
agreement, to begin January 1, 1999. TI will retain ownership of its related patents.

Am Ireading it incorrectly?? O ris TXN giving $750 mil to MU to run the biz.??

I need more info. Maybe this does keep the bankers at bay since TI becomes their banker. We both know they are still in deep doo-doo. Hard to assess this without more detailed information.

"purchase" doesn't apply to this transaction. It's a pooling of ???
